Event: Blood Drive
Date: February 13, 2008
Invitees: Open to all OWC and local community
Description: Last semester's Blood Drive set a record as the most successfull on-location blood drive ever for the Northwest Florida Blood Center in Okaloosa and Walton counties, so we are doing it again! The Blood Drive will begin at 8:00 a.m. in K-Mall on the Niceville campus and last until 3:00 p.m. Reservations are recommended if you are in a time crunch. Just call the Student Activities office at 729-5348, ext. 6348, or emial studentactivities@owc.edu to make your reservation. In order to donate you must be 17 years of age or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health. Please bring a picture ID with you to prove your age and be sure to eat a meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating.

Event: 1st Annual International Potluck Dinner

Description:

On February 21st, the International Club is holding the 1st Annual International Potluck Dinner at the Fort Walton Beach Campus in Building 1, Room 126 at 6:30 PM. This is our first meeting of the Spring Semester! Bring your favorite dish and a copy of the recipe and enjoy food from around the world. If your favorite dish is Pizza Hut or KFC&.bring it!!! We will collect the recipes and post them on the club website. All you need to bring is your dish and utensil to dish it out. Plates, napkins, cups, utensils, water and ice tea will be provided.

Limited transportation for students to and from the Niceville Campus will be available for the trip to Fort Walton Beach. The vans will leave Building E at 6:00 and return to Niceville by 8:30. If you have any questions, call the Club Faculty Advisor, Mrs Nancy Ordonia at 729-6020 or email ordonian@owc.edu.

During the dinner we will also be electing Club Officers. See IC News for details on positions available.

Directions: College Blvd. to Wolverine to Hwy. 85.  Turn right.  After passing the airport(on left), turn right at the second traffic light.  At next traffic light a golf course will be on the left.  Next light YMCA is on the left.  Turn right at the next light (McDonalds is on left) At the second traffic light, turn right onto the FWB campus.  Building 1 is straight ahead.
